When moving heavy objects you need to be able to easily navigate while carrying the heavy objects. Here are some questions to consider when moving objects around:

Can I see over the load?

Are there obstacles that I cannot move around or navigate while carrying the load?

Are there people, doorways or things that will make it unsafe for me to carry the load?

Is there anything or anyone in my way that might make me fall, trip or make me imbalanced while carrying the load?

Before you lift:

Remove all obstacles from your path to insure your safety.

When you are not sure...

Ask for help if there is any question about the safety of carrying your load, whether it is to open a door, hold a portion of the load or get a hand-truck.
