Some projects require the assistance of two or more people.

. Keep in mind a few basic steps:

  • Let one person designate to lead the lift and give cues to the other person or people.
  • Lift at the same time, at the same rate of speed and distance
  • Keep the load level and balanced
  • Unload slowly together
  • Use equipment to share the load whenever possible.

Practice Safe Lifting... even when you have help.

Even when you are lifting with the help of another person you are still at risk of hurting yourself or your partner. Be aware of the obstacles and use safe lifting techniques.

Lifting Tips

Remove all obstacles from your path before you lift.

Lift with your legs.

Keep your head up.

Unload the same way as you load.

Keep your attention on your safety and the safety of those around you.
